Position Summary

As a Pathologists' Assistant, you will work side-by-side with board-certified pathologists, providing vital support in grossing surgical specimens and assisting with autopsies. This position is ideal for professionals who are meticulous, adaptable, and dedicated to delivering top-tier patient care and lab precision.

Key Responsibilities

• Gross examination, dissection, and dictation of complex surgical specimens

• Assist in autopsy procedures, including evisceration and dissection

• Perform specimen photography and ensure complete, accurate documentation

• Maintain lab records and ensure quality control in accordance with regulatory standards

• Help train and oversee pathology support staff

• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program

• PA(ASCP) certification or eligibility required

• Proficiency in medical and anatomical terminology

• Strong communication and documentation skills

• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team setting
