Position Summary
As a Cytotechnologist, you’ll be responsible for microscopic screening of GYN and non-GYN specimens, working closely with pathologists to identify abnormal cells and ensure timely diagnoses. This role is ideal for professionals who are passionate about precision, collaboration, and ongoing learning in the clinical lab setting.
Key Responsibilities

Screen and evaluate cytologic specimens for abnormal cells

Prepare, stain, and analyze gynecologic and non-gynecologic samples

Document findings accurately and consult with pathologists as needed

Ensure compliance with regulatory standards (CAP, CLIA, OSHA, HIPAA)

Maintain quality control and participate in lab improvement initiatives
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a life science or related field

Completion of a CAAHEP-accredited Cytotechnology program

CT(ASCP) certification required

Proficiency in microscopic analysis and slide preparation

Experience with ThinPrep and SurePath preferred

Strong organizational and communication skills
