Position Summary
As a Cytotechnologist, you will be a vital part of the laboratory team, responsible for the screening and evaluation of cytology specimens, assisting in early detection and diagnosis. You'll collaborate with experienced pathologists and lab staff in a quality-focused, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities

Screen GYN and non-GYN cytology specimens using microscopy

Identify cellular abnormalities and prepare accurate documentation

Collaborate with pathologists for further review of abnormal findings

Stain and prepare slides in accordance with laboratory protocols

Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA regulations

Contribute to lab quality assurance and improvement efforts
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a related science field

Graduation from a CAAHEP-accredited Cytotechnology program

CT(ASCP) certification required

Proficiency with ThinPrep, SurePath, and liquid-based cytology preferred

Excellent attention to detail and diagnostic accuracy

Strong communication and organizational skills
