Position Overview
In this role, you’ll be responsible for screening and interpreting gynecologic and non-gynecologic cytology specimens, contributing to timely and accurate diagnoses. You’ll collaborate closely with pathologists and fellow lab professionals in a fast-paced but well-supported environment.
Key Responsibilities

Evaluate cytology specimens under a microscope to identify abnormalities

Perform both GYN and non-GYN screenings, including FNA and body fluids

Prepare, stain, and analyze specimens according to lab protocol

Document findings and maintain accurate laboratory records

Work closely with pathologists on challenging or suspicious cases

Ensure compliance with all CAP, CLIA, HIPAA, and OSHA standards
Qualifications
-
Bachelor’s degree in a life sciences or related field

Completion of an accredited Cytotechnology program

CT(ASCP) certification required

Excellent microscopy and diagnostic skills

Familiarity with ThinPrep and SurePath preferred

Detail-oriented, reliable, and able to work both independently and collaboratively
