Nicklas Medical Staffing is seeking a skilled Pathologists’ Assistant for a temporary assignment at a well-established laboratory in New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience in a fast-paced pathology lab while working alongside a dedicated team of healthcare professionals.

Responsibilities

• Perform gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens
• Assist with autopsies as needed
• Accurately document and track specimens
• Maintain compliance with CAP, CLIA, and hospital regulations
• Collaborate with pathologists, histotechnologists, and lab staff to ensure efficiency and accuracy

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists’ Assistant program
• PA(ASCP) certification required
• One or more years of experience in a high-volume pathology lab preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently under pressure
