Position Summary

As a Pathologists' Assistant, you will assist with grossing surgical specimens and performing autopsy support, working directly with board-certified pathologists. The ideal candidate is dependable, adaptable, and confident working independently in a fast-paced setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens

• Assist in autopsy procedures including evisceration and organ dissection

• Dictate gross descriptions and photograph specimens

• Maintain accurate records and ensure quality control

• Adhere to CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA compliance

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program

• PA(ASCP) certification or certification-eligible

• Strong medical terminology and anatomical knowledge

• Solid documentation and communication skills

• Ability to quickly adapt to new environments and workflows
