Position Summary

As a Pathologists' Assistant, you will work closely with board-certified pathologists, playing a key role in the gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens and assisting with postmortem examinations. We’re looking for candidates who are detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-based environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform gross dissection and detailed description of a wide variety of surgical specimens

• Assist in autopsy procedures, including evisceration and organ dissection

• Accurately document gross findings through dictation and photographic imaging

• Maintain laboratory records and ensure quality and compliance with regulatory standards

• Support training and oversight of pathology lab personnel

• Adhere to CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA guidelines

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program

• PA(ASCP) certification or eligibility required

• Strong foundation in anatomical and medical terminology

• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills

• Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively in a clinical setting
