Position Summary

As a Pathologists' Assistant, you'll collaborate directly with board-certified pathologists to support gross examination and dissection of surgical specimens and assist in autopsy services. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, adaptable, and committed to high standards in patient care and laboratory excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform gross dissection and detailed description of surgical specimens

• Assist in autopsy procedures including evisceration and organ dissection

• Provide accurate documentation, including dictation and specimen photography

• Maintain and ensure integrity of pathology records and logs

• Contribute to the training and supervision of pathology support staff

• Ensure compliance with CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program

• PA(ASCP) certification or certification-eligible

• Strong command of anatomical and medical terminology

• Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills

• Ability to function both independently and as part of a collaborative clinical team
