Position Summary

In this contract role, you will work alongside a team of board-certified pathologists to assist with the gross examination of surgical specimens and autopsy procedures. Ideal for travel professionals or those looking to explore new regions, this assignment offers both professional growth and a change of scenery.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform gross dissection and dictation of surgical specimens

• Assist in autopsies, including evisceration and dissection of organs

• Capture high-quality specimen photography and ensure accurate documentation

• Maintain thorough and compliant laboratory records

• Follow all CAP, CLIA, OSHA, and HIPAA regulations

Qualifications

• Master’s degree from a NAACLS-accredited Pathologists' Assistant program

• PA(ASCP) certification or certification-eligible

• Strong attention to detail and anatomical knowledge

• Excellent communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

• Previous travel or contract experience is a plus, but not required
